Vibe Vault PageVibe Vault V2.0
Vibe Vault lets you browse, stream, and download from www.archive.org's collection of over 89,000 live concerts. Archive.org's collection spans almost 8,000 Grateful Dead recordings, among recordings of other great bands like Lotus, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Yonder Mountain String Band, String Cheese Incident, Elliott Smith and a huge number of other great acts. Check out this link to see the huge number of bands on archive.org.
Vibe Vault will play your music in the background while you do other things with your phone. You can play whole shows at once, make playlists with songs from multiple shows, and download single tracks or entire concerts. It is designed to be fast, light on resources, attractive, and intuitive.
There are two ways to get Vibe Vault. You can get it
directly to your phone from the Android market, or you can download the
source code for free from this website. Scan or click the code below to
go to Vibe Vault's page on the Android market where you can download it.
There is too much code to list all of the files individually, so I am providing a .zip file and a .tar.gz file of the source code, layouts, and icons. Let me know what you think!
Vibe Vault is completely free and open source. It is licensed under version 3 of the GPL, a "copyleft" license whose terms you can read here. It was developed (and is being developed) jointly by Andrew Pearson and Sanders DeNardi. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment on this blogpost or to send me an e-mail. We have a page with bug tracking and source code on Google code. You can find it here.
